Marice H. DePasquale, a more than 20-year resident of Costa Mesa, was appointed to the Mesa Water District Board of Directors in 2017 and elected in 2018. Director DePasquale currently serves as Mesa Water’s President and represents Division 3 which includes the communities of North Costa Mesa, and landmarks such as South Coast Plaza, Segerstrom Center for the Arts and Orange Coast College.

In 2022, President DePasquale was appointed to serve a two-year term on the Association of California Water Agencies’ (ACWA) Region 10 Board, representing Orange County and San Diego members of ACWA, the country’s largest statewide coalition of public water agencies. Since 2018, she has been an active ACWA Communications Committee member, including working on developing a statewide public education campaign regarding the importance and benefits of investing in water infrastructure and new water supplies for California. She is committed to assuring an abundant, local, reliable, and safe water supply for the community, which is vital for property values, quality of life, and the economic success of Costa Mesa.

President DePasquale has decades of experience in public affairs and is Principal of MConsensus, an award-winning public affairs firm specializing in land use entitlement, government and community relations, and grassroots lobbying. Her clients have included C.J. Segerstrom and Sons, Crystal Cove Alliance, Disney, Home Depot, The Irvine Co., Marriott Hotels, Lennar Homes, Newport Banning Ranch, Pebble Beach Resorts, and Starbucks, as well as not-for-profit groups and campaign committees. Her work has been recognized by the Public Relations Society of America through numerous OC Chapter PROTOS awards, including the prestigious national Silver Anvil Award.

President DePasquale values public service and giving back to the community. She serves as a Board member on Water UCI, has served on the Board of Seneca Family of Agencies, the state’s largest foster-adopt nonprofit, and is a lifelong Girl Scout currently serving as a Cadette Troop Leader. Additionally, she has served on UCI’s School of Social Science Dean’s Board of Counselors, the City of Huntington Beach’s Affordable Housing Committee, and the Building Industry Association’s Orange County Chapter, among other professional and community organizations. President DePasquale holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine, with an emphasis in voting and elections.
