The state-of-the-art facility which was upgraded and re-opened on March 13, 2013, helped Mesa Water achieve its goal of providing customers 100% local groundwater water ā a truly unique accomplishment in Orange County. The MWRF, which features two deep-water wells, a one-million gallon reservoir, and nanofiltration technology, is currently undergoing an upgrade of the Control Room and Wet Lab. The MWRF will also soon be home to the new Mesa Water Education Center ā a destination for fifth grade school fieldtrips, summer day camps, civic, business and community organizations and residents. The new center will offer an interactive experience to connect visitors to the concepts of water and resource management; regional and statewide water infrastructure; Mesa Waterās history and how we are able to provide a 100% local water supply.
