Meet Artie Hernandez, Construction Inspector

Mesa Water has been providing local, reliable water for nearly 60 years. The District could not provide the great service it has during these years without its longest term employee, Artie Hernandez.

As a construction inspector for 39 years at Mesa Water, he oversees new residential and commercial developer projects in our service area, ensuring that they meet code. He also responds to multiple calls daily, ensuring our hydrants and pipelines remain strong and work efficiently.

“My time at Mesa Water has been great. I enjoy the work I do and being outside most of the time. No two days are the same,” he explains.

Known by his colleagues for his can-do attitude, Artie’s passion for serving the community is evident in all that he does.

In his spare time, Artie loves spending time with his family. He also enjoys bowling, spending the day at Disneyland with his wife, and playing lots of golf!
