Costa Mesa, Calif.; June 18, 2012 – On June 1, 2012, Mesa Water District (Mesa Water) released to the public its 2012 Water Quality Report containing important information on water quality and how it meets or exceeds all state and federal standards. The report also offers information about the District’s water supply sources and the treatment and maintenance of Mesa Water’s groundwater.
Costa Mesa, Calif.; June 13, 2012 – On June 1, Mesa Water District (Mesa Water) won a PROTOS award -- for the first time in the District’s history -- from the Orange County Chapter of Public Relations Society of America (OC/PRSA), which annually acknowledges the area’s top public relations programs and practitioners. Mesa Water was recognized with a PROTOS for outstanding achievement in the Community Relations/Institutional Programs category for the District’s 2011 campaign “Hello: My Name is Mesa Water.” This award marks Mesa Water’s third communications award in the past year.

General Manager’s Presentation to Orange County Water Association Focuses on Mesa Water’s Innovative Performance Management and Measurement Processes
Costa Mesa, Calif. ; March 22, 2012 – Approximately 100 regional water officials gathered at this month’s Orange County Water Association event to hear from the Mesa Water District (Mesa Water) General Manager -- Paul E. Shoenberger, P.E. -- regarding Mesa Water’s innovative efforts to manage and measure its performance as a government agency that provides water service.
Shoenberger’s keynote presentation focused on the steps that Mesa Water has taken, under the leadership and direction of its Board of Directors, to improve its operations and transparency, which have led to increased efficiency and greater public perception for the District. Shoenberger also provided guidance on how other water agencies can replicate Mesa Water’s successes.
Contest Asks Local Students, “How Does Water Work for You?”
Costa Mesa, Calif.; March 9, 2012 – Mesa Water District (Mesa Water) is again partnering with Municipal Water District of Orange County (MWDOC) on its 26th annual Water Awareness Poster & Slogan Contest for local kindergarten through sixth-grade students. For the first time, a Water Awareness Digital Arts Contest is also offered for grades seven through twelve. The 2012 contest theme is “How does water work for you?”.
According to Mesa Water’s Board President, Fred Bockmiller, “This Contest provides an excellent opportunity to teach students that water is a precious resource and should be used wisely. We are proud to partner with MWDOC on this program, in addition to the in-school water education assemblies that Mesa Water sponsors.”
