DePasquale as Board President Posted: Friday, December 11, 2020 COSTA MESA, Calif.; December 11, 2020 ā Mesa Water District (Mesa WaterĀ®) is pleased to announce that the Mesa Water Board of Directors (Board) officially named Marice H. DePasquale to serve as Board President and Shawn Dewane to serve as Vice President for 2020-2022, at its Board meeting on December 10. Subsequently, the Board swore in Directors James R. Fisler from Division 2, Fred R. Bockmiller, P.E., from Division 1, as well as Marice H. DePasquale from Division 3, who were re-elected in the general election on November 3 to continue to serve a four-year term on the Board. Directors Bockmiller and DePasquale ran unopposed, while Director Fisler ran opposed and was re-elected by the voters, with over 57% of the vote. āWe are dedicated to producing and delivering high-quality, 100% local and reliable water to our community,ā said Marice H. As an industry leader in efficiency and fiscal responsibility, Mesa Water is committed to continue providing cost-effective water service now and in the future.ā President DePasquale represents Division 3, the North Costa Mesa community, which includes landmarks such as South Coast Plaza and Segerstrom Center for the Arts. President DePasquale was appointed to the Mesa Water Board in 2017 and was elected in 2018. She also serves as a board member on UCIās Water Board, has served on the Board of Seneca Family of Agencies, the stateās largest foster-adopt nonprofit, and is a lifelong Girl Scout currently serving as a Junior Troop Leader. Vice President Dewane represents Division 5, which includes Eastside Costa Mesa and parts of Newport Beach. He is actively involved with many water industry, government, finance, and community organizations, including serving on the Board of the Orange County Employees Retirement System. He also served on the Orange County Water District (OCWD) Board for eight years, as both a Director and Board President.
