Voters Re-Elect Fred Bockmiller, James Fisler and Ethan Temianka; Board Elects Ethan Temianka as President and Jim Atkinson as Vice President

Costa Mesa, Calif. – Mesa Water District Directors Fred Bockmiller, James Fisler and Ethan Temianka were re-elected November 8 to each serve a four-year term on the Board of Directors (Board). Subsequently, at its regular meeting on December 8, 2016, the Board officially named Ethan Temianka from Division III to serve as Board President and Jim Atkinson from Division IV to serve as Vice President.

Director Temianka ran unopposed and begins his second term serving the communities that include South Coast Plaza, Segerstrom Center for the Arts and Orange Coast College. Director Atkinson has served the communities of Mesa del Mar, College Park, Montecito and John Wayne Airport since 1998.

“Mesa Water’s customers have safe, reliable water supplies with long-term viability because of the District’s proactive approach to water and infrastructure management,” said President Temianka. “Mesa Water’s Board is committed to fiscal responsibility, accountability and transparency and we look forward to working together with other agencies and organizations over the next few years to improve efficiencies for our customers.”

President Temianka was elected to the Board in 2012 and re-elected in 2016 to serve a four-year term. He served as Parks Commissioner for the City of Costa Mesa from 2010 to 2012, serves on the Board of the Lincoln Club of Orange County and is an active Big Brother and supporter of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County.

Vice President Atkinson was re-elected in 2014 and is serving his fourth term on the Board, also serves on the Association of California Water Agencies’ Region 10 Board and represents Region 10 on the Orange County Groundwater Committee.
